About Me

Who am I, my ideas, my future... For you

Although this could be a great time to tell you how awesome my courses and tutorials are. Maybe yell you about when I started and what the big philosophy is behind my website… I won’t. Why? Because I rather tell you what you can expect and what not. It’s not about me, it’s about you. You want to learn something and I can provide it.

We all learn, with no exceptions. Each day we learn new stuff. Some we will remember, some we won’t. This is how the human brain works. But we all learn differently. Some will learn from books, others from videos, and others by just doing it.

I believe that the last group is the biggest and it’s the best way of learning. Okay, so not everything can be learned by just doing it. If you want to learn how to dive, it would be practical to first learn how the equipment works. Then the theory and then the actual diving. Otherwise, you could drown.

But when you think of programming or other computer skills, the best way to learn it is by just doing it.

Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.

About Me

Let me introduce myself. My name is Kenji. I was a developer from 2006 to 2021. I worked for a lot of companies and learned most of what I know because of them. From 2021 to 2022 I was a teacher, specializing in C# and all other facets of Microsoft. Think about Cloud, structure, applications, and DevOps. But the traveling called me. Being on a world trip from 2016 to 2018 has taught me there is much more than my own country. So, I set up this website and started traveling. Many of the courses and free tutorials are made while I am not at home.

I love being away from home and not working for an employer. It gives me time to create courses with much more content. I don’t just make quick courses to earn a couple of bucks, but I want you to learn from a more practical side.

My Goal

During my work as a developer, I had many questions. Thanks to the internet most of the questions were solved with ease. But I always missed the bigger picture: Why is this working? Why is this marked as the answer when it doesn’t work for me? Do I really need this? Can this be done easier?

When I started teaching I noticed that a lot of my students had the same questions.  I had to figure out what the best answers were. But this wasn’t as straightforward as it sounds, because sometimes there are multiple solutions to the same problem.

Which solution is the best depends on several factors: environment, experience, support, available resources, and experience. Yes, experience is mentioned twice… Three times if you count the last sentence.

My goal is to teach you with the theory in mind but with a focus on practical solutions. These are based on my previous experience and learning by doing. If I want a button to work, I need code to make it do what I want and some basic understanding. Learning every single detail of the button theory is time-consuming.
