As you might have noticed on this website, 99% of the information is technical and for learning purposes. These tutorials are written from a technical point of view, keeping in mind that the reader has a technical background.
It’s not much different in companies; There are functional people, that know how an application works or how it should work from a users-perspective. And there are technical people, that know how to make the application work with code but have no idea how a user looks at the flow.
A technical writer is a person between functional and technical people. Knowing what the functional people mean and want to achieve and knowing how to translate that so the technical people know what to build.
Technical validator
Reading technical information can be a pain. It’s usually written in a way that nobody can read or understand it, except developers or the creator himself/herself. This can lead to frustration or even bad decisions.
Therefore, it can be nice, or even good, if someone else is looking at it and understands what is written.
